My month at Elsewhere was truly a gift--there is no other word for having the time and space to follow my creative instincts in the way I was able to in Paonia. It can take me some time to acclimate to a space, especially creatively, but I was writing within two hours of my arrival. The freedom allowed me to reconceptualize my project and to explore another creative interest, collaging, which I normally don't have enough time for in my day to day life. Add to all this the other residents I feel lucky to now call my friends, Tomatoes the cat (I miss you Tomatoes!), and plenty of rest and mountain vibrations: I really couldn't ask for anything more.
